Welcoming your new baby into the world is one of the most magical, memorable and fleeting times in your life…

It is my wish, as your photographer, to capture the essence of your newborn and document this magical time, so you can hold onto it forever. I believe this to be the incredible thing about photography; it has the power to transport you back to those remarkable moments, to bring back the feelings and emotions we experienced at a particular time in our lives. I am confident the pictures I capture for you will soon be some of your most treasured possessions.

The ideal time to photograph newborns is between 7 and 14 days old; so please book your session as soon as you know your due date. We will make a provisional booking for ten days after your due date, and we can adjust this depending on your baby’s arrival.

Newborn photography is a specialised genre of photography. You only have one chance to get it right. If you have your own things you would like me to use, feel free to do so. I pride myself on creating galleries that I design together with my clients to truly fulfill their vision.

I am honored to be the one you are considering to capture this once in a lifetime moment with your new baby. I look forward to helping you to create your first family memories that will be cherished forever...

FAQ

Do you have experience photographing newborn babies safely?

I have been photographing newborn babies for five years at my own studio and for over two years at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center Hospital where I had been trained professionally to handle newborn babies.
In addition, I have taken in person and online workshops from leaders in the industry such as Kelly Brown, Rachel Vanoven, Erin Tole, Russ Jackson, Sandra Hill.

When is the best time to schedule a newborn session?

Newborn sessions are very specific in terms of timing as there is a brief amount of time where you can have those pictures taken. I do schedule my session within 7-14 days after the baby is born. The best time to book your session is 4-6 months before your due date to be sure I will have a spot available for you. I will reserve a tentative booking and then adjust it if your baby arrives earlier or later. That is why I never fully book each week to make sure I can accommodate all my booked clients.

What if my baby is older than 14 days?

Newborn sessions should be scheduled within the first two weeks of your baby's life. However, it may happen that you will not be able to arrive at the studio during that preferred time. On occasion I meet with older newborns, but these sessions may require more time which may require a price adjustment. Rest assured, I always try my best to accommodate my clients in this way.

How long does a newborn session last?

Newborn sessions require a significant amount of time. I never rush through the session as the baby's and Mom's comfort are my priorities. Some babies feed very quickly, some need more time, some will fall asleep at the breast while some need more time to drift off. The average time my clients spend in my studio is between 2-3 hours, but on occasion 4 hours is what is needed so it is best to take this into account while planning your day.

Do you have props and outfits for the baby?

I offer lots of props and outfits for the baby, so there is no need to bring anything. If you have a special item you would like me to use, I am also happy to do so.

Do you do froggy pose?

If that is my clients wish we will attempt it. However, I like to inform my clients that every baby is different and may not go into each pose comfortably. I'm always observing the baby and if I notice that they oppose a particular pose I never push them to do it. Froggy pose is the one that requires constant assistance from the other person (the parent) and will be done as a composite, which means the parent will hold the baby's head during that pose.

May I send you sample images I love?

Yes, please. My goal is to help create the galleries that you have always dreamt of, so if I am able to recreate an image, I am more than happy to offer it for you.
